Notes regarding referee meetings schedule
Please reference your Colorado Board #4 2008-2009 Handbook/Directory, Constitution and By-Laws on page 13, Article III – Membership, Section 2 – Required Attendance.
All active members and officers of the Board shall be required to attend not less than three meetings of his/her district during a basketball season, which will comprise of one per calendar month, one of which shall be designated as a Rules Interpretation meeting.
The District (Area) must put on at least six meetings (Article IV, Section 8) during the basketball season, and the members must abide by the meeting requirements, to be eligible for post season assignments.
The High School “basketball season” shall be designated to include the months of December, January and February (the post season is in March). This is the High School season in Colorado, where the Board 4 Constitution has jurisdiction. Members must attend at least one meeting per month in the months December, January and February. The Master Clinic in November is a Rules Interpretation meeting, but does not count as a monthly meeting, since it is not in the “basketball season”. The Master Clinic also carries its own attendance requirement.
Colorado Board 4 By-Laws, Article III, Section 2 – Board Fees to be amended to read:
The annual renewal fee shall be set by the Board of Directors, which will include the annual IAABO membership renewal fee, and must be paid by April 15 of the preceding year to avoid late registration fees, and loss of membership in good standing status. Fees paid after April 15 shall not reinstate membership in good standing status for the next season, and the rights of that member, including varsity game assignments , shall be suspended until the next fee cycle. If fees are paid, for the next fee cycle, in a timely manner, membership in good standing status shall be reinstated for the next season. If two consecutive fee cycle payment dates are missed, the member must re-apply for membership. The Executive Committee shall recommend changes in the annual fee to the Board of Directors, who shall have the final approval by a two-thirds vote of the representatives, or their proxy.
